Vasion Print User Guide

Accessing the Vasion Print Client

There are several ways to access the Client,.

Start Menu

In the Start Menu (Windows), search for printer or open the Printer Installer folder to view the print management options.

System Tray

From the system tray, right-click on the Vasion Print icon Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Client icon. to view the enabled options.

A normal left-click on the icon opens the default web browser to the Self-service Portal where you can install printers.




Vasion Print Client Options


Here are details on what each of the options do:

  1. Add Printer — Opens the default web browser and the Self-service Portal. For more details, see Self-service Portal.
  2. Set Default Printer — Shows a list of printers installed on your computer with an option to set a default printer.
    Select new default printer window.
  3. Delete Printer — Shows a list of printers installed on your computer with options to remove a printer or to set a default printerSelect a printer to delete window showing printers installed on computer.
  4. View Installed Printers — Shows the operating system list of printers installed on your computer.
  5. Login with / Logout — You can use this option to quickly open a web browser and sign in to OKTA.
  6. Refresh Configurations — Triggers manual Client check-in so you can access the latest changes and updates.

Self-service Portal


The Self-service Portal is your resource where you can install printers and drivers you need, with a few clicks. The portal installs both the printer and the associated driver with a simple click, and you're ready to start printing.

Access the Self-service Portal

There are multiple methods to access the portal:

  1. In your web browser go to the following url: https://hptc.printercloud.com/
  2. From the Intranet page select the Vasion Print Icon under tools                   
  3. Opening the icon in the system tray                                                                                                 
  4. Through the Start/Search Menu                                                              

Installing a Printer


You will only be able to see specific printers based upon your Job role and Location. If there are other printers you will need access too please contact the IT Department with your manager's approval.

  1. On the Self-service Portal, select the folder for your location.                                                         
  2. There are two options for installing a printer:
    1. Select the printer icon on the map
    2. Select the printer from the list
  3. If you want to set the new printer as your default select the Set as Default Printer option
  4. On the confirm installation model select Yes                                                        Confirm Installation modal.
  5. After installation completes select OK to dismiss the installation notice                          Installation Notice modal.
  6. The printer is now ready for you to print.
